Available Phosphorus in Soils Amended with Organic N-Enriched Composts during Periods of Incubation

چکیده

Inorganic nitrogen (N) fertilizers, microbial inoculum and biologically-active substances are used to fortify composts which characteristically contain low amounts of N. The potentials organic wastes from agriculture for N enrichment were indicated by significant increase in soil while there can be fortuitous improvement the available phosphorus (P) contents on information about extent is lacking. In this study, composts: cow dung + sawdust (CDSD) poultry droppings (PDSD) enriched with meals bone (BN), blood (BM), hoof (HF) horn (HN); neem leaf (NM) tithonia (TM) attain 150, 300, 450 600 g kg-1 P was monitored at four-week intervals during 16 weeks incubation soil. Available increased all sources rates slightly week 4 but highly 8 each source, gave highest values. 15-20 20-29 mg 12 respectively. CDSDBM PDSDHF respectively short-season crops PDSDBM PDSDNM would suitable long-season crops. (29.0 kg-1) followed PDSDBN same level, 28.0 each. Although PMSDNM kg-1N had 16, values exceeding 20 also have cultivation vegetables.

PHOSPHORUS MANAGEMENT Ligands and Phytase Hydrolysis of Organic Phosphorus in Soils Amended with Dairy Manure

tion of IP6 and other IPs in dairy manure are attributed to the protective effect of IP6 complexation with polyvaInformation about orthophosphate and organic phosphorus (P) lent cations that reduces dephosphorylation. As a result, desorption in soil amended with animal manure is needed because a build-up of P following repeated manure applications poses risks of substantial amounts of dietary I...

Phosphorus Dynamics in Broiler Litter-Amended Soils

Because land application of broiler litter is commonly made in the spring before cropping season and in the fall, it is essential to understand how environmental variations, such as temperature, affect the phosphorus (P) dynamics. A laboratory incubation study was conducted at Waste Management and Forage Research Unit, USDAARS with the objective of determining the effects of temperature and soi...

Phosphorus speciation in manure-amended alkaline soils.

Two common manure storage practices are stockpiles and lagoons. The manure from stockpiles is applied to soils in solid form, while lagoon manure is applied as a liquid. Soil amendment with manure in any form introduces a significant amount of phosphorus (P) that exists in both organic and inorganic forms. However, little is known about P speciation in manure stored under different conditions, ...

Sorption, degradation and leaching of pesticides in soils amended with organic matter: A review

The use of pesticides in modern agriculture is unavoidable because they are required to control weeds. Pesticides are poisonous; hence, they are dangerous if misused. Understanding the fate of pesticides will be useful to use them safely. Therefore, contaminations of water and soil resources could be avoided. The fates of pesticides in soils are influenced by their sorption, decomposition and m...

Surface runoff losses of phosphorus from Virginia soils amended with turkey manure using phytase and high available phosphorus corn diets.

Many states have passed legislation that regulates agricultural P applications based on soil P levels and crop P uptake in an attempt to protect surface waters from nonpoint P inputs. Phytase enzyme and high available phosphorus (HAP) corn supplements to poultry feed are considered potential remedies to this problem because they can reduce total P concentrations in manure. However, less is know...
